Notes | Line repairman working near Baddaginnie. Accidently killed Saturday night, whilst riding on a rail trolly and colliding with a ballast train in the dark, around 8 pm. Inquest held by Dr. John Nicholson, Deputy Coroner. "Fatal railway accident at Violet Town", as reported in the Melbourne Argus, 24 March 1875. born c. 1830, West Ladford, England. Immigrated to Victoria around 1855. Survived by Elizabeth Rule (nee Taylor), and their six children. Death Certificate held. |
